Reflexology

Reflexology is a unique, non-invasive therapy involving pressure on specific “reflex” points on the feet. The therapist can simulate healing in the corresponding parts of the body to relieve stress and congestion, reduce inflammation, boost circulation and eliminate toxins from the body. The body is “mirrored” in the feet and the hands (which can also be used for treatment).

How can Reflexology help you?

Reflexology is capable of addressing most health problems since it is a holistic treatment; treating not just the disease but the whole person. All parts of the body are treated by massaging their corresponding reflex points. Treatment aims to improve both physical and emotional health by simulating the body’s own healing system, rather than curing any specific condition.

After treatment we advice , that the client should drink plenty of water to help flush the toxins out, avoid alcohol, have a light meal and should relax to enjoy the benefits of relaxing treatment. Some clients may experience some worsening of conditions before they see the benefits. This is know as a healing crisis or healing reaction. Reflex zone therapy activates the body's natural healing powers, some form of reaction is to be expected as the body rids itself of toxins. You may feel one or some of the following:

  • Increased urination ( urine darker, smelling stronger)
  • More frequent bowel movements or maybe diarrhoea
  • Flatulence
  • Increased perspiration
  • Spots
  • Old suppressed complains may reappear briefly
  • Suppressed anger may surface again
  • Increased secretions of mucous membranes (runny nose, vaginal discharges)
  • Disrupted sleep pattern
  • Dizziness, nausea
  • Increased body temperature
  • Headache
  • -Tiredness Remember you have started the process of self healing.
